Over the years’ football fans have bought physical paper tickets from dealers and stadium booths which have in most cases turned out to be cumbersome and less efficient in revenue collection with the growing fan base of local football. The system offers a great solution to all these downsides experienced in the past years by both the football fans and the Football clubs. Based on a digital platform, the football ticketing system will run on android devices which will increase the outreach of the system to improve efficiency in sales, marketing, acquisition and verification of football match tickets since most of the smartphones run on android platform. The system aims to curb integrity issues in ticket sales and time wastage in ticket verification lines in stadiums. The system allows a user to login or signup for an account and buy a ticket for a match, the system then generated a code which is unique for every ticket then encode it to a QR code which will be scanned by the stadium staff at the entrance. Money transactions will be done through M-Pesa, after the transaction is successful the ticket will appear in the user`s account and can be accessed offline only through the app. After verification and acceptance by the stadium officials’ portal the ticket will automatically invalidate and cannot be used by another person. The system will be developed using prototyping methodology to give room for continuous testing of the system during its development.
